The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) will be holding a Public Information Meeting regarding a rezoning proposal involving the property at 48 Savanna Road and legally described as The South ½ of District Lot 3762, ODYD, as follows:
Date: Monday, November 25, 2019 Time: 6:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Location: 101 Martin Street, Penticton, BC (RDOS Office, Boardroom)
The purpose of the rezoning is to facilitate the development of farm worker housing. More specifically, it is being proposed to change the designation of the subject parcel as follows: from Agriculture Three Zone (AG3) to Site Specific Agriculture Three Zone (AG3s) under the Electoral Area “F” Zoning Bylaw No. 2461, 2008.
The Site Specific Agricultural zone would allow for 41 sleeping units and up to 910 m2 of farm worker housing on the subject parcel to be used on a seasonal basis. The applicant as well as Regional District staff will be available to answer any questions residents may have regarding this rezoning, and to also receive written submissions.
