Parks, Trails and Recreation Master Plan Survey

The Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) is preparing the Parks, Trails and Recreation Master Plan (PTR Master Plan). You’re invited to participate in a survey that will help shape the future of parks, trails, and recreational activities and spaces in the region.

Survey results will inform the PTR Master Plan to ensure the right mix of facilities and programs are provided while also protecting environmentally sensitive areas. The PTR Master Plan will also serve as a guiding document for corporate decision-making over the next ten years.

The RDOS will be inviting community partners and Commissions to take part in virtual meetings and workshops in the coming weeks. The public engagement process launches today and runs until May 15, 2021.

Join in the conversation. Sharing your ideas is easy.

Visit to:

  • Watch a video about the project

  • Complete the online survey

  • Request a paper copy of the survey

  • Pinpoint locations and provide suggestions with the easy-to-use interactive mapping tool

  • Attend one of the roving kiosks and sounding boards coming to a park or recreational area near you

The PTR Master Plan assists RDOS Recreation’s goal of supporting healthy individuals and communities across the region. Parks, trails and recreation facilities and programs are essential to quality of life, the protection of our natural environment, strengthening our economy and the overall health of our communities.

Selby before the upgrade.
