Sage Mesa - not part of paving project and culvert update along Highway 97

The following information is from the District Manager of Okanagan Shuswap, Ministry of Transportation (MoTT).

As far as resurfacing in the Sage Mesa area, unfortunately, there won’t be any roads in that area completed with this project. The roads in the West Bench area that have been resurfaced are tied to the larger H97 Trout Creek to Bentley Rd regional paving project, a project that came with some additional funding for sideroad resurfacing in the area. While we did get a pretty “healthy” allotment of asphalt to be able to use on sideroads with this project, there wasn’t quite enough available to be able to include the Sage Mesa area.

MOTT has started the second phase of the drainage works in the area of Sage Mesa Dr and Solana Cres. Crews started on the new drainage system through the gully that will outlet on H97 (where the new culverts were installed earlier this year) on July 14 and we expect this work to continue through the summer months.
